Actuarial Analyst

Job Summary:

This role involves independently applying actuarial methodologies to complete structured projects and serving as a technical subject matter expert. The position requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Apply actuarial methodologies to complete structured projects, including developing tools and analyzing results.
• Improve existing processes using actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques.
• Resolve technical issues proactively and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
• Create instructional materials and provide training on actuarial tools and processes.
• Mentor new team members and contribute to team development.
• Translate business challenges into actionable insights using actuarial expertise.
• Communicate insights and solutions effectively to actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of related actuarial/business/analytical experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of actuarial or analytical business experience.
• Completion of at least 3 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams.
• Experience with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques for decision-making.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, or BI tools.
• Ability to connect technical insights to business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate technical insights to a broad audience.
• Experience in personal and/or specialty lines pricing.
• US military experience, either through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.

Salary:

• Annual salary range: $74,210 - $141,830.*
• Eligible for performance-based incentives.
