Role Overview:

As a Branch Support Banker (BSB), you will assist in maintaining smooth branch operations, support customer transactions, and provide guidance on banking products and services. Branch Support Bankers work closely with Relationship Bankers and other branch staff to ensure clients receive accurate information, timely assistance, and a seamless banking experience. Branch Support Bankers are expected to uphold a professional and positive image as Simmons Ambassadors while helping meet branch goals. All Branch Support Banker positions receive training on products, services, compliance procedures, and operational tools required to perform the role effectively.

Main Tasks and Obligations:

• Inform and guide clients on the full range of bank services, including in-person branch services, digital tools, and resources offered through business partners.
• Support branch and individual goals by assisting with in-person and outbound customer interactions, providing solutions and recommendations based on customer needs.
• Assist with account opening and closing, help clients select suitable accounts, review account details, and ensure compliance with BSA and CIP regulations.
• Facilitate consumer loan processes by gathering applications, maintaining understanding of loan policies, and supporting loan account management within the branch.
• Identify client needs and coordinate with specialized teams including small business, corporate, institutional, mortgage, and financial advisors.
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by engaging customers and providing an exceptional service experience.
• Ensure all branch documentation and operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, completing required compliance training.
• Process customer transactions and requests in a professional and positive manner, engaging in authentic conversations to determine needs and recommend solutions.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by branch management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate clients in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Collaborative team approach to support customers and branch operations in a dynamic banking environment.
• Ability to guide and assist branch staff following standard operating procedures in the absence of branch leadership.

Education and/or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 12 months of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in banking or financial services.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office programs.
• Ability to utilize social media and digital tools to enhance branch operations and client engagement.

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or assisting with branch conversions or acquisitions.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other banking professionals as required.
