Job Description:

The Private Banker role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate customer responses are delivered by efficiently capitalizing on available resources and tools
• Identifying the requirements of clients and suggesting suitable financial products and services through tailored conversations to cultivate and deepen relationships.
• Complete regular teller tasks by handling deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and any other required financial transactions.
• Aid in the execution of the segmentation strategy by introducing sales, retention, and diverse bank projects to achieve the growth and profitability targets of the Banking Center.
• Striving to excel in sales, service, and operational performance at both individual and team levels are the expectations
• Adheres to Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meeting or exceeding branch audit expectations and operational evaluation criteria
• Offer supervision for banking center colleagues by providing coaching and support for fellow bankers. Play a key role in mentoring and assisting in the integration of new bankers.

Qualifications, Past Roles, and Proficiencies:

• A high school diploma or GED is necessary, while having an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
• 4 years of experience in customer sales and service desired, with an ideal of 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated proficiency in taking the lead, providing guidance, and encouraging others.
• Thorough familiarity with the complete inventory of offerings
• Stays abreast of all the technologies used for branch transaction processing.
• Evidences strong customer service skills and a talent for bolstering teamwork, thereby fostering a positive workplace environment.
• Ability to adjust to a flexible and/or rotating schedule, with the expectation of working weekends, extended hours, and the possibility of traveling to alternate Banking Centers.
