Job Overview:

The Transaction Specialist serves as the primary customer contact, delivering FirstBank’s service excellence by accurately handling financial transactions, assisting with customer inquiries, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and appropriate referrals in alignment with bank standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions in accordance with established policies, service standards, and brand expectations, including addressing inquiries related to account balances, transaction activity, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain efficient daily operations by safeguarding cash drawers, balancing daily cash activity, following item processing procedures, identifying counterfeit currency, managing coin handling, reconciling ATM transactions, and ensuring teller stations are properly stocked.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and services while educating customers on digital banking tools such as mobile banking, online platforms, ATMs, and other electronic services.
• Recognize customer needs and connect them with appropriate bank representatives for additional products or services.
• Reduce risk exposure by adhering to operational procedures and confidentiality requirements, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC guidelines, documentation practices, and robbery prevention protocols.
• Deliver consistent and professional customer service aligned with FirstBank’s service standards.
• Follow all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, with a focus on fraud prevention and secure cash handling practices.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Requires a solid understanding of banking regulations, compliance standards, and FirstBank policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency and numerical aptitude required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must meet bonding requirements within the first six months of employment.
