Job Description:

The responsibility of a Business Banking Officerat First Citizens Bank includes maintaining and enhancing relationships with business owners in the community to aid them in realizing their financial aspirations.

Business Banking Officers are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the privilege of:

• Contribute towards the bank's success by participating in the growth through business loans, deposits, and fee generation.
• Engage with your network to interact with local business owners and companies to explore business lending opportunities.
• Fulfill the role of representing the bank in the community by actively participating in civic, community, and networking events.
• Embark on a quick loan approval process by encouraging transparent communication and collaboration with credit partners.
• Collaborate with a diversified group of bank partners to fortify and enrich the complete client relationship.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development; however, candidates with a high school diploma/GED and eight years of experience will also be considered.
• Verified experience in business advancement and proven ability in building and expanding client networks.
• Displaying strong financial scrutiny abilities and skilled in underwriting credit.
• Comprehension of commercial lending offerings, deposit solutions, and techniques for effective cash flow administration.
• Possesses strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Developed COIs and sources for recommendations
• The ability to interpret financial data accurately and evaluate credit risk enables professionals to make informed decisions in financial analysis and credit underwriting processes
• Having insight into business lending, deposit options, and cash management solutions is critical for financial stability
• Skill in providing financial expertise and guidance
• Expertise in sales planning and outlook forecasting
