The primary duty entails evaluating credit exposure for clients in Wholesale Banking and supervising a Middle Market or CML portfolio. Daily tasks involve interacting with clients, managing portfolio risks, and ensuring full compliance with regulations and standards. A crucial aspect of the role is promptly identifying evolving credit challenges and industry patterns.

Outlined responsibilities and duties that are fundamental to the position:

• Take charge of managing the comprehensive commercial underwriting procedure for potential leads and current customers, comprising assessment, paperwork, and communication with various stakeholders.
• Assess and arrange the financing of each customer and lead deal, verifying the correctness of real estate assessments, environmental surveys, and UCC investigations.
• Assess financial records, organizational blueprints, and significant hazards, providing substantiated counsel and financing options.
• Preserve a high level of knowledge in client fields and the variety of credit and supplementary products provided by the bank to suggest fitting loan setups.
• Validate that underwriting processes comply with regulations and align with the bank's risk management structure.
• Administer the allocated portfolio by keeping track of its progress, patterns, and potential credit concerns, and responding promptly to rectify any problems.
• Uphold the precision of risk evaluations, accomplish annual assessments, disseminate financial documentation, and execute all essential compliance and regulatory appraisals.
• Manage revisions and relaxations in the specified portfolio with a focus on proactive risk management that is transparent and forward-looking.
• Work alongside internal product divisions to devise and showcase credit proposals that cater to client demands while also aligning with the bank's pricing and risk assessment guidelines.
• Deliver an up-to-date and future-oriented perspective on the risks related to designated clients and potential leads, while also formulating suggestions for mitigating these risks.
• Handle a multifaceted investment portfolio with considerable credit exposure, demanding sharp discernment, proficient issue resolution skills, and the authority to make decisions autonomously.
• Provide an autonomous perspective to shape important credit determinations and support the development of less experienced team members.
• Be involved in and guide activities or undertakings that contribute to the overarching Portfolio Management system outside of daily portfolio tasks.
• Offer superior credit and underwriting analysis while adhering to stringent operational and credit risk protocols.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Completion of a finance-related bachelor's program is necessary.
• Extensive background in analyzing commercial credit for more than five years.
• High level of competency in utilizing MS Office tools.
• Proficient in interpersonal communication, as well as written and verbal skills.
• Had proven expertise in making prudent credit choices and demonstrating analytical aptitude.
• Unmatched precision.
• Being adept at organizing and handling multiple tasks concurrently within a swiftly changing environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in a related role at a commercial finance firm.
• Expertise focused on a specific industry or sector.
• Proficient in the operational systems of Truist which encompass COMPASS, MRA, Salesforce, and nCino.
