Overseeing a team of Mortgage Loan Originators, the Mortgage Field Supervisor is tasked with achieving sales and production targets while maintaining operational excellence. This role focuses on developing talent, monitoring performance, nurturing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with mortgage regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the operational functions of a small group of Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Ensure the prompt collection of essential paperwork from the relevant authorities for processing, underwriting, and closure procedures.
• Fulfill the specific loan volume origination goals set by upper management on a yearly basis.
• Foster and sustain referral partnerships with real estate brokers, construction firms, and other external contacts to generate a steady supply of loan opportunities.
• Be involved in local and state trade associations relating to mortgage banking, realtors, and builders.
• Retain a comprehensive comprehension of mortgage industry information and recent developments.
• Nurture collaborative connections within the U.S. Bank Home Mortgage sector and other business domains to strengthen customer relationships and encourage the purchase of additional products.
• Employ, conduct discussions with, and facilitate learning for new team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• Acquiring a high school diploma or its equivalent is a traditional educational benchmark
• More than two years of demonstrated success in selling mortgages

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Illustrated proficiency in cultivating new business avenues and skillfully managing partnerships
• Adequate knowledge of sales procedures and approaches
• Complete knowledge of mortgage products, services, operations, and up-to-date market trends
• Being well-versed in the pricing and underwriting demands of different mortgage insurers is vital
• Knowledge of the underwriting guidelines for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors is crucial, whether gained through hands-on experience in the industry or from previous employment in a real estate brokerage
• Acquainted with a range of laws at different governmental levels such as zoning regulations, Truth-in-Lending provisions, RESPA standards, and energy audit mandates
• Demonstrated expertise in customer service and cultivating positive relationships with clients
• Displaying a great emphasis on details and the skill to interpret financial information accurately
• Excellent communication proficiency in interpersonal, verbal, and written contexts
• It is crucial for individuals to meet the relevant requirements for executing duties in locations other than their regular workplace
• Fostering connections for recommendations within the designated market is recommended
• Consistent results showcased through 2 years of mortgage loan origination experience
