Job Description:

The Universal Teller provides efficient banking support by assisting customers with everyday account needs and financial transactions. This position delivers dependable customer service, maintains transaction accuracy, supports cash operations, and recognizes opportunities to connect customers with appropriate banking products and services.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process routine banking transactions at branch teller stations and drive-through facilities.
• Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, checks, night deposits, and mailed deposits.
• Provide cashier's checks, savings bond services, and other routine account-related assistance.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve routine requests through in-person and telephone interactions.
• Identify customer needs and make appropriate referrals for additional banking products and services.
• Assist with consumer credit card applications and other customer account requests.
• Support account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, statement requests, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Maintain balanced cash drawers, verify currency and coins, monitor cash levels, and report transaction discrepancies promptly.
• Document customer interactions, activities, recommendations, and referrals in 360View or applicable banking systems.
• Follow established operating procedures, security standards, privacy requirements, and dual-control practices.
• Protect confidential customer, account, and financial information.
• Participate in training programs to maintain knowledge of banking procedures, products, and services.
• Work collaboratively with branch staff to support customer satisfaction and branch performance.
• Complete assigned responsibilities accurately while minimizing transaction errors.
• Participate in community and volunteer activities when applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
