Job Summary for Personal Banker:

A Personal Banker delivers tailored financial solutions to clients by assisting with daily banking needs, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable products and services.

Business Development:

• Quickly establish a consistent SBA business development rhythm within the market, including:
• Planning and tracking phone communications
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Outbound calls to engage with prospects and existing clients
• Participation in networking events to build professional relationships
• Developing and strengthening a robust Center of Influence (COI) network of community and business leaders to generate referrals
• Managing sales activities, analyzing creditworthiness, structuring loans, submitting SBA loan packages, conducting client meetings, and evaluating individual traits
• Establishing new business connections to foster growth and expansion

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates expertise in business credit, including:
• Designing appropriate terms and products aligned with business needs, asset lifespans, and growth strategies
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit needs in line with business sales cycles and expansion plans
• Advising potential clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client needs while managing risk exposure
• Complying with Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their professional growth
• Adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications and gathering applicant information while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing customer inquiries promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in SBA lending preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in business development or financial services preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
