Job Description:Commercial Credit Manager

Tasked with evaluating credit risk for Wholesale Banking clients and overseeing a Middle Market or CML portfolio. Responsibilities include engaging with clients on a daily basis, managing risks within the portfolio, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. An important aspect of the role is to promptly identify emerging credit challenges and industry trends.

Qualifications:

Required:

• A finance or a related field bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial credit analysis accumulated over five years.
• Mastery-level proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Skilled in interpersonal relations, as well as written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated sound judgment in credit decisions and analytical proficiency.
• Remarkable precision in observation.
• Capability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with a comparable role in a commercial finance institution.
• Domain-specific knowledge pertaining to a specific industry.
• Proficiency demonstrated in working with Truist's operating systems, which includes COMPASS, MRA, Salesforce, and nCino.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end commercial underwriting process for both potential leads and current clients, which includes examination, record-keeping, and cooperation with both internal and external partners.
• Manage and blueprint the financial elements of all client and prospect transactions, guaranteeing the precision of real estate appraisals, environmental exams, and UCC searches.
• Evaluate financial records, enterprise proposals, and primary risks, delivering well-founded guidance and credit resolutions.
• Maintain in-depth expertise in client industries and the bank’s offerings of credit and additional products to recommend fitting loan structures.
• Make sure that all underwriting procedures meet regulatory requirements and are consistent with the bank's risk framework.
• Handle the designated portfolio by closely evaluating its performance, trends, and potential credit problems, and taking timely measures for resolution.
• Maintain the precision of risk rating assessments, finish yearly surveys, circulate financial records, and undertake all needed compliance and regulatory examinations.
• Administer changes and waivers in the designated portfolio while emphasizing proactive risk management that is transparent and forward-looking.
• Collaborate with internal product teams to develop and present credit solutions that align with client requirements and adhere to the bank's pricing and risk acceptance protocols.
• Furnish an independent and forward-thinking overview of the risks tied to assigned clients and prospects, and propose actionable risk management strategies.
• Manage a varied portfolio with notable credit risk, requiring keen judgment, effective problem-solving skills, and the autonomy to make decisions independently.
• Foster an autonomous standpoint to influence critical credit judgments and provide mentorship to junior team members when needed.
• Take part in and lead endeavors or ventures that support the overall Portfolio Management platform beyond the scope of daily portfolio duties.
• Uphold strong operational and credit risk standards while delivering high-quality credit and underwriting analysis.
