The Branch Development Manager leads the branch team in delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with UMB's commitment while fostering staff development and executing the organization's retail strategy. They oversee all operational aspects of the branch and are capable of performing teller transactions and other banking duties as needed.

With a focus on Inspire Action, associates are encouraged and empowered to take on leadership and influencer roles, moving beyond traditional branch management to form partnerships with customers and colleagues.

Ideas for Utilizing Your Time Efficiently:

• Mentor and support associates to enhance performance through coaching sessions covering proactive sales conversations, operational matters, and customer engagements
• Provide guidance in managing complex account maintenance and resolving escalated customer issues
• Collaborate with internal partners, including small business officers, mortgage officers, and private wealth managers
• Engage in ongoing education and training to meet personal sales performance and operational objectives

We Are Looking Forward to Interacting With You If:

• Hold a degree in Business Administration or possess comparable business-related experience
• Have at least two years of experience in leadership, mentoring, or management roles
• Demonstrate either two years of banking/financial services experience or a suitable combination of education and practical experience
• Are in the process of acquiring NMLS registration, with completion within 90 days
• Have reliable transportation and flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings
