Job Overview:

The Cash Handler serves as a key customer-facing representative, responsible for delivering FirstBank’s service excellence by accurately processing financial transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and identifying opportunities to recommend additional banking services.

Core Responsibilities:

• Handle customer transactions efficiently in accordance with bank policies, service standards, and brand expectations, including responding to inquiries about account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Ensure smooth daily operations by securing cash drawers, balancing cash activity, following item processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, managing coin handling, reconciling ATM transactions, and maintaining teller station supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and guide customers on digital banking tools such as mobile banking, online platforms, ATMs, and other technology-based services.
• Identify customer needs and connect them with appropriate bank representatives for additional products or services.
• Maintain strict adherence to risk management and confidentiality standards, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC requirements, documentation practices, and robbery prevention procedures.
• Deliver consistent, professional service aligned with FirstBank’s customer experience standards.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, operational guidelines, and security protocols related to fraud prevention and cash handling.
• Maintain dependable attendance and reliability in daily responsibilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

• Understanding of banking regulations, compliance standards, and FirstBank policies is essential.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency and numerical skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must meet bonding requirements within the first six months of employment.
