Job Summary for Business Banking Officer:

As a Business Banking Officer, you will be responsible for developing, expanding, and managing business client relationships while providing exceptional banking solutions. This role focuses on understanding the financial needs of business clients, offering appropriate banking products and services, and identifying opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and growth. Business Banking Officers engage with clients through relationship management, outreach efforts, business visits, and networking activities, while meeting individual and branch performance goals.

Responsibilities:

• Inform and advise business clients on the full suite of banking services, including branch-based offerings, digital tools, and external business partnerships.
• Meet individual and portfolio goals by conducting face-to-face client meetings and outbound calls to present tailored solutions and recommendations.
• Manage account openings and closures, assist clients in selecting appropriate accounts, review account information, and ensure compliance with BSA and CIP requirements.
• Support commercial and consumer loan activities by soliciting loan requests, maintaining knowledge of policies and guidelines, and assisting in managing loan accounts within the branch network.
• Identify client needs and refer them to appropriate partner-focused teams serving small businesses, corporate partners, institutions, mortgage advisors, and financial consultants.
• Ensure high client satisfaction through proactive engagement and delivery of exceptional service.
• Verify that all departmental documentation and tasks comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of mandatory compliance training.
• Respond to client inquiries and process transactions professionally, engaging in authentic conversations to determine needs and provide solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to motivate and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group interactions with clients, customers, and colleagues.
• Adopt a team-focused approach to meet client needs in a dynamic banking environment.
• Guide and mentor branch teams according to process and protocol in the absence of the AFCM.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 12 months of customer-facing experience with a goal-oriented focus.
• Enrollment in the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required for this position.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to leverage social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and gather market insights.

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or supporting bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight stays.
• Ability to provide guidance and assistance to other banking entities within the market.
