Job Description: Retail Banking Manager

East West Bank is currently seeking a Retail Banking Manager. This position is responsible for business development and bank product sales. The Retail Banking Manager will manage the branch using effective strategies to ensure that annual branch goals are met. He/she will also provide exceptional customer service to all clients, collaborate with other product managers to refer bank products to business partners, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures for compliance.

Qualifications:

• The position seeks individuals with a high school diploma or GED.
• Showcasing 5 years of practical proficiency in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial position for a minimum of three years.
• 5 years related experience and/or training including strong commercial lending or product knowledge.
• Skill set that includes the capacity to read, analyze, and interpret balance sheets illustrating a company's financial stability.
• Skill in articulating information effectively and fielding questions from different groups, including supervisors, staff, customers, and the public.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a plan, direct, and oversee the total operations and endeavors of a fully operational branch office, incorporating the monitoring and evaluation of sales and customer service effectiveness in accordance with predetermined goals and criteria.
• Connect with existing and potential customers on-site and through external marketing strategies to introduce new products and services to a varied customer base and business clientele.
• Solicit new clientele from customers, businesses, local areas, and community organizations; provide comprehensive training for staff members on sales techniques, customer interactions, and product details.
• Develop a robust business strategy that prioritizes the financial success of the designated banking products.
• Carry out the required tasks to secure and supervise assets, documents, collateral for loans, and securities.
• Compile necessary financial and regulatory reports in alignment with legal specifications, regulations, and senior leadership expectations.
• Act as a liaison between the bank and community organizations to advertise and raise awareness about the bank's products and services.
• Direct the performance management of branch employees, including managing one or more subordinate supervisors who are responsible for supervising staff members throughout the branch.
• Comply with the organization's policies, procedures, and relevant laws when carrying out supervisory duties.
• Moreover, tasks include conducting interviews, recruiting, and educating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; handling grievances and resolving issues.
