The Mortgage Loan Agent position focuses on delivering unparalleled customer service to all clients. Responsibilities include leveraging both internal and external referral networks to develop mortgage loan opportunities and fostering strong professional relationships within the local community.

Position Summary:

As a Mortgage Loan Agent, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and recommending appropriate banking products and services. This role combines customer service, sales, and financial guidance to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifies and cultivates new internal and external referral sources to enhance the growth of the mortgage division.
• Assists clients in exploring mortgage loan options and other financial products through consultative selling methods.
• Ensures top-notch customer service from loan approval through closing, working closely with loan origination sources to verify and secure all required information for underwriting.
• Oversees customer interactions and maintains client relationships.
• Assists clients in accurately completing loan application forms.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in mortgage loan origination, preferably in a banking environment.
• Active NMLS license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products including conventional loans, FHA/VA programs, construction financing, and portfolio programs.
• Understanding of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for promoting additional financial products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in PC and internet-based tasks.
