Branch Support Banker

Job Summary:

A Branch Support Banker delivers personalized financial solutions by assisting clients with their daily banking needs, managing account operations, and recommending suitable products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish a consistent SBA business development cadence, including:
• Planning phone communications and tracking follow-ups
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients
• Making outbound calls to connect with prospects and existing clients
• Participating in networking events
• Expanding and diversifying a developed COI (Center of Influence) network of community and business leaders to enhance referral generation
• Managing sales operations, analyzing creditworthiness, structuring loans, submitting SBA loan applications, meeting with clients, and evaluating personal characteristics
• Building and nurturing new business relationships to foster growth and opportunities

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates expertise in assessing business credit options, including:
• Creating tailored terms and offerings based on business needs, asset life cycles, and growth strategies
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns to evaluate creditworthiness and risk for individuals and businesses
• Assessing immediate and long-term credit needs in line with business sales cycles and expansion plans
• Advising clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal staff to ensure timely loan closure and funding
• Aligning business objectives with customer needs while managing risk exposure
• Complying with Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Providing mentorship to junior SBA lenders to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Following banking policies and regulatory standards, including BSA, AML, and OFAC guidelines
• Processing loan applications and gathering necessary client information while maintaining fair lending practices and ethical sales approaches
• Resolving customer issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in SBA lending is preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in business development and/or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
