Citizens is recognized as a top lender in the mortgage sector and is focused on expanding its market share in existing states. We’re currently looking for driven and experienced Mortgage Loan Officers to build and maintain a robust network of referral sources for new mortgage lending opportunities. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with realtors, builders, and professional and personal contacts to generate new business.

As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you’ll be responsible for interviewing new and existing customers, understanding their loan needs, and advising them on the best mortgage products, terms, and pricing. You will also gather necessary information, generate complete mortgage applications, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Meeting sales goals and objectives will be a key focus of your role, as well as delivering exceptional customer service.

• Grow Professionally: Take advantage of opportunities to expand your knowledge, refine your interpersonal skills, and enhance your professional capabilities.

Qualifications:

Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales (preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in retail residential mortgage sales, with a documented loan volume of at least $12 million in the past 12 months.

Networking: Established relationships within the local referral network, such as realtors and builders.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable using laptop technology and mortgage software.

Compliance: Must meet all requirements outlined in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of pre-employment screenings and obtaining an NMLS unique identifier.

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
