Transaction Specialist

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer experience while accurately processing financial transactions, assisting existing and prospective customers, and supporting branch sales goals.

Core Responsibilities:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by consistently delivering excellent service
Process basic customer interactions and cash transactions accurately
Review and reconcile daily cash balances to maintain financial accuracy
Identify referral opportunities that support branch objectives
Comply with all banking regulations and policies, including Atlantic Union Bankshares’ BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
Identify potential risks and escalate concerns through appropriate channels
Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, and business lines
Adapt to evolving digital banking platforms and tools
Perform additional duties as assigned

Reporting Structure:

This role is supervised by the designated branch leader.

Eligibility Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Cash handling experience preferred
Prior customer service experience required

Skills and Competencies:

Strong customer service capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sound business judgment and decision making ability
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
Adaptability and flexibility in changing environments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Flexible scheduling based on business needs

Compensation & Workplace:
