Job Description:

The Banking Specialist position involves assisting Banking Center customers and aiding the team in reaching sales, service, and operational goals in line with Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Responsibilities include processing all customer-related financial transactions following the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Furthermore, this role necessitates utilizing superior communication skills and active listening techniques to grasp customers' financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, provide top-notch customer service, and build and maintain strong partnerships with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Proficiency in supervising and coaching other Relationship Bankers is also important.

Responsibilities:

• Addressing customers' needs swiftly and accurately is achieved by maximizing the available resources and tools.
• Understanding the needs of customers and suggesting fitting financial solutions and products through tailored discussions to forge and enrich connections.
• Complete ordinary teller duties such as processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and additional transactions as required.
• Aid the segmentation strategy by enacting sales, retention, and diverse bank initiatives to accomplish the growth and profitability aims of the Banking Center.
• The goal is to meet or exceed expectations in sales, service, and operational duties both independently and as part of a team.
• Complies with Federal and State regulations as well as internal bank policies and procedures, meeting or exceeding requirements for branch audits and evaluations of operational procedures.
• Aid in the supervision of banking center colleagues by providing coaching and support to fellow bankers. Take on a leadership role and assist in onboarding new team members.

Learning, Expertise, and Capabilities:

• High school diploma/GED is a minimum qualification, with a preference for those holding an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of experience in customer sales and service, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience being advantageous. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of all available products and services.
• Stays abreast of all the technologies used for branch transaction processing.
• Demonstrates strong skills in customer service and the capacity to facilitate teamwork, thereby cultivating a positive work environment.
• The capacity to work flexible or rotating schedules, including weekends and extended hours, and the potential need for travel to different Banking Centers.
