Job Description:

The Universal Banker role is an all encompassing position responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer experience, providing sales and service solutions, and handling teller transactions. This role builds strong customer relationships by clearly communicating the benefits of Atlantic Union Bank products and services.

Position Accountabilities:

• Create customer loyalty through needs based conversations to deliver a differentiated customer experience
• Develop and maintain knowledge of bank products and services across all lines of business
• Demonstrate proficiency in digital banking tools (Zoom, Appointment Scheduler, DocuSign, GRO, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, ATM Banking)
• Drive proactive sales conversations through internal and external interactions including outbound calling, service to sales, teller interactions, and appointment setting
• Acquire new customers through prospecting while maintaining and deepening existing relationships
• Identify and close sales opportunities to achieve personal and branch sales goals
• Support branch growth through customer acquisition and retention
• Partner with Mortgage, Investments, Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Merchant Services, and Treasury Management teams
• Identify and fulfill lending and financial product needs
• Resolve customer issues related to deposit, credit, and other banking services
• Review performance scorecards and adjust activities to meet sales goals
• Perform teller duties including cash handling and transactions
• Balance cash daily and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to all banking laws and regulations, including BSA/AML policies and procedures
• Manage risk by following policies and exercising sound judgment within guidelines
• Perform complex branch operational duties as assigned
• Complete all required training
• Perform other duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the assigned branch leader.

Position Qualifications Education and Experience:

• NMLS registration required or ability to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in banking or financial services preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer relationship building and sales preferred
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Teller experience strongly preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Lending experience preferred

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Sound business judgment and decision-making ability
• Proficient computer and digital banking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to change

Shifts may vary depending on business needs. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.Salary will be based on education, experience, and certifications. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation or discretionary profit-sharing bonuses.
