As participants progress through the program, they will:

What You’ll Need:

• MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field completed within the last three years and prior to the start of the program.
• Two to five years of experience in strategy consulting, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven track record as a change agent with initiative and proactive behavior.
• Desire to innovate, disrupt, and improve.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and leverage business acumen and analytical skills to support senior leaders in decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel) and presentation tools.
• Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
• Adaptable to dynamic work environments.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse stakeholders.

Additional Track Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with platforms such as S&P Global, FactSet, Pitchbook, Copilot, PowerBI, and Adobe Suite.
• Experience creating and presenting executive-level presentations while managing ambiguity throughout the creative process.
• Experience leading major initiatives, from problem framing, research/analysis, and developing business and operational plans to ensuring successful execution.
• Strong understanding of banking operations with a focus on strategy development, operational excellence, process improvement, and project management.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.

Corporate Strategy and Planning Overview:

The Corporate Strategy & Planning division leads the development of Western Alliance Bank's multi-year strategic plan and oversees key enterprise initiatives that drive innovation, growth, and organizational alignment. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, the team helps define the bank's long-term direction, assess competitive risks and opportunities, evaluate financial trends, and support communication of strategic priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
