Commercial Banking Officers at UMB are experts at building client relationships and recommending financial products and services. Commercial Banking Officers use their product knowledge and client interactions to identify financial needs and provide solutions that help customers achieve long-term financial well-being while simplifying their banking experience.

Determining how best to use your available time:

• Utilizing personalized questioning techniques to convert transactions, account maintenance responsibilities, and routine service requests into cross-selling opportunities that strengthen client relationships
• Proactively pursuing sales leads by contacting prospects, visiting businesses to present workplace banking solutions, and building referral networks
• Effectively balancing competing priorities while achieving daily key performance metrics
• Following standard operational and learning practices, including transaction processing, cash drawer management, and completion of bank documentation in accordance with industry and legal requirements

• You hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• You have at least one year of retail or customer-facing experience, engaging clients and providing product recommendations that result in sales, or possess relevant comparable experience
• You have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings
• You are able to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days of meeting eligibility requirements
