The Banker position entails delivering services to customers at the Banking Center and supporting the team in accomplishing sales, service, and operational targets aligned with Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Duties involve executing all customer-related financial transactions following the Bank's rules, regulations, and guidelines. Moreover, this role employs exceptional communication and attentive listening skills to comprehend customers' financial needs, establish trust, maximize sales opportunities, generate leads, provide high-quality customer service, and establish and sustain a solid partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Proficiency in supervising and coaching fellow Relationship Bankers is also essential.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting customers' needs promptly and accurately involves utilizing available tools and resources effectively.
• Identifying the needs of clients and providing relevant financial products and services by engaging in needs-driven discussions to establish and strengthen partnerships.
• Execute regular teller tasks including handling deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and other required financial transactions.
• Support the division of the market strategy by introducing sales, retention, and various banking projects to effectively meet the growth and profitability targets of the Banking Center.
• The anticipation is to meet or outperform both personal and team targets in sales, service, and operational tasks.
• Remains in alignment with Federal and State regulations in addition to internal bank protocols and processes, achieving or outperforming branch audit standards and evaluations of operational effectiveness.
• Help supervise banking center staff by offering guidance and coaching to fellow bankers, setting an example for others to follow. Additionally, assist in orienting new bankers to the team.

Academic Background, Professional Journey, and Competencies:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of experience in customer sales and service preferred, with one to two years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
• Proficient understanding of the full range of banking products and services.
• Maintains familiarity with all platforms used for branch transaction processing.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and the ability to promote teamwork, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and extended hours, with possible travel to other Banking Centers.
