The Role of a Relationship Banker:

The primary role of a Relationship Banker is to understand the financial needs of customers and offer appropriate banking products and services.

As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Asset Managers will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals. You will also be skilled in marketing Simmons solutions to existing customers and prospects through daily interactions, outbound calls, business visits, networking events, and periodic 'At Work' events. Asset Managers are expected to achieve and/or exceed their individual and branch goals. Additionally, you may assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. Maintaining a professional and positive image as a Simmons Ambassador while exceeding client expectations is essential. All Asset Manager positions will receive standardized training on all necessary products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools essential to perform the role.

Vital Roles and Responsibilities:

• Acquaint and advise customers on the complete suite of services available at the bank, including traditional in-person branch services, digital tools, and resources provided by business partners
• Achieve personal goals through the appropriate levels of in-person and outbound calling engagements to share valuable solutions and recommendations based on a needs-based philosophy
• Manage all functions concerning the opening and closing of accounts, including aiding clients in selecting the right accounts, performing investigations on customer accounts, and complying with BSA and CIP mandates
• Support consumer loan processing: request loan applications, maintain awareness of loan policies and methods, and assist in handling consumer loan portfolios across branch(es)
• Expose customer needs and guide them to a partner-focused team that serves a range of clients, including small businesses, corporate partners, institutions, and mortgage and financial advisors
• Guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction by actively engaging with clients and providing an exceptional customer service experience
• Ensure that all departmental paperwork and tasks are executed in adherence to relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of essential compliance training
• Engage with customers professionally while processing requests and transactions accurately and participate in genuine conversations to understand needs and provide solutions
• Undertake supplemental tasks and roles as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to inspire and communicate effectively in individual and small group settings with customers, clients, or colleagues
• Adopt a collective team approach to assist customers effectively in a fast-paced banking environment
• Manage and oversee the branch team in adherence to protocols and processes when the AFCM is not present

Education And/Or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED
• A year-long commitment to interpersonal customer interactions and target-driven performance
• Enrollment with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Employ social media platforms to elevate brand visibility and gather valuable market intelligence

Other Qualifications:

• Periodic trips for meetings, training sessions, and assisting with bank conversions and acquisitions may involve occasional overnight stays or out-of-town travel
• Skill in offering support and advice to other banks operating in the market
