Job Description:

The Financial Services Teller supports branch banking activities by assisting customers with routine financial needs and delivering reliable service. This position processes account and cash transactions, responds to customer requests, maintains accurate records, builds positive relationships, and identifies opportunities to connect customers with relevant financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process routine banking transactions at branch teller stations and drive-through facilities.
• Provide courteous customer service while developing positive and professional customer relationships.
• Process deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and deposits received by mail.
• Assist customers with cashier's checks and savings bond redemption requests.
• Respond to customer questions and provide account assistance in person and over the telephone.
• Complete additional financial transactions and required currency transaction reports when applicable.
• Recognize customer needs and identify opportunities for appropriate product recommendations and referrals.
• Record customer activities, recommendations, events, and interactions using 360View and other designated systems.
• Assist customers with consumer credit card applications and related requests.
• Support account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, statement requests, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Balance and maintain cash drawers by accurately counting currency and coins, verifying funds, and resolving or reporting discrepancies.
• Follow established banking procedures, security standards, and dual-control requirements.
• Protect customer privacy and maintain the confidentiality of financial and personal information.
• Participate in training programs to strengthen knowledge of banking procedures, products, and services.
• Work with branch team members to maintain high service standards and support branch objectives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of financial products and effectively use customer service and banking systems.
• Complete assigned duties accurately while minimizing transaction and processing errors.
• Participate in community and volunteer activities as appropriate.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
