Job Description for Private Client Banker:

Private Client Bankers at UMB are experts in building customer relationships and recommending and selling financial products and services. They leverage their product knowledge and client interactions to identify needs and provide financial solutions that help clients secure their financial well-being while making banking simple and effective.

Making conscious decisions about how to divide your time:

• Using personalized questioning techniques to turn transactions, account maintenance, and other routine service requests into cross-selling opportunities that strengthen client relationships
• Proactively generating sales opportunities by contacting leads, meeting with businesses to propose workplace banking solutions, and building networks for client referrals
• Balancing competing priorities while achieving daily key performance metrics
• Following standardized learning methods, including processing transactions, managing cash drawers, and completing bank documentation, while adhering to industry and legal standards

• Your attention to detail is evident in completing paperwork and explaining features and benefits
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You have one year of retail or customer-facing experience, engaging clients, recommending products, and contributing to sales, or equivalent experience
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings, are required
• Completion of NMLS registration within 90 days is achievable upon meeting eligibility requirements
