Job Overview:

The responsibility of a Personal Banking Consultant at First Citizens Bank includes maintaining and enhancing relationships with business owners in the community to aid them in realizing their financial aspirations.

Personal Banking Consultants are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Major Duties:

• Assist in the bank's prosperity by actively engaging in promoting business loans, deposits, and fee-based earnings.
• Utilize your connections to collaborate with local business proprietors and companies to create business lending possibilities.
• Participate in civic, community, and networking events to represent the bank effectively in the community.
• Partake in a seamless loan approval process by engaging in transparent communication and connections with credit collaborators.
• Engage in a group effort with multiple bank partners to enhance and solidify the comprehensive client relationship.

Qualifications:

• The applicant must have a bachelor's degree along with four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or have a high school diploma/GED combined with eight years of experience in these areas.
• Documented experience in developing businesses and validated proficiency in creating and evolving client rapport.
• Displaying robust financial analysis skills and expertise in credit risk evaluation.
• Acquaintance with business funding solutions, banking products, and strategies for maximizing cash flow.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Structured conflicts of interest (COIs) and referral sources
• The ability to interpret financial data accurately and evaluate credit risk enables professionals to make informed decisions in financial analysis and credit underwriting processes
• Understanding business financing, deposit accounts, and cash handling techniques is necessary for business operations
• Demonstrating proficiency in delivering financial advice and specialized knowledge
• Knowledgeable in sales forecasting and strategic planning
