Job Description: Mortgage Loan Officer

Simmons Bank is offering an exciting opportunity within its Audit department for an Mortgage Loan Officer. The selected candidate will assist the Internal Audit team with audits, assessments, and specific projects to ensure compliance with company policies and standards. This role provides hands-on experience evaluating risks, analyzing processes, and monitoring internal controls, with guidance from experienced audit professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in one or multiple significant audit projects or initiatives.
• Support core banking activities, conduct audits, and prepare reports.
• Assist with the preparation, implementation, and documentation of audits.
• Analyze data and generate documentation to support audit activities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and detect control deficiencies.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve audit objectives.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (minimum of 12 credit hours in accounting or finance courses, preferably in the third year of undergraduate studies).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in time management, project handling, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, quick learner, and team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to receive guidance and learn audit procedures.
• Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
