The Treasury Sales Consultant supports sales growth, strengthens client retention, and delivers analytical insights that enhance treasury management solutions.
Under general supervision, the Treasury Sales Consultant assists Treasury Management Officers (TMOs) in expanding Treasury Management (TM) revenue. Core responsibilities include developing, analyzing, and presenting proposals, RFPs, and sales demonstrations. The role also involves pre-call planning, preparation, and participation in joint sales calls with TMOs and Commercial Bankers. A strong emphasis is placed on delivering high-quality internal customer support by understanding and promoting the organization’s sales culture and vision across member banks, managing reports and metrics, and supporting all related sales activities within assigned business lines.
Establishing a Routine to Maximize Productivity:
Prepare projected financial statements, pricing proposals, and client profitability analyses for Treasury solutions
Complete pre-meeting preparation and assemble required materials for client and prospect meetings within assigned territories
Coordinate proposal responses by collaborating with cross-functional business teams to gather necessary information
Participate in sales meetings with Commercial Bankers and TMOs to gain deeper insight into client relationships and support complex onboarding efforts
Conduct onboarding sessions and deliver demonstrations of Treasury and Payment Solutions platforms
Oversee the setup of new accounts and implementation of TM services for both new and existing clients
Manage and coordinate exception pricing updates
Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure accurate billing for new clients and services
Create detailed Relationship Reports covering account structure, industry trends, and product or service recommendations
Support fraud prevention initiatives and coordinate the implementation of positive pay solutions for affected clients
Serve as a backup to TMOs and assist clients as needed; identify opportunities to recommend or cross-sell TM products to increase relationship penetration
Promote effective client service communication and cross-team collaboration; prepare materials for internal meetings, pre-call strategies, and process updates
Monitor Salesforce dashboards weekly to identify and resolve discrepancies between sales opportunities and implementation
Participate in regular pipeline meetings with TMOs to prepare for the next phase of sales support for identified opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of relevant experience in sales, sales support, and/or commercial banking
Knowledge of basic cash management products, commercial card solutions, and standard banking practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build client trust
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
