Job Description for Floating Business Banking Specialist

As a Floating Business Banking Specialist (FBBS), you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. FBBS professionals provide expert financial solutions to current and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals. FBBS are experts in marketing Simmons solutions through daily interactions, outbound calls, client visits, networking events, and periodic 'At Work' events. They are expected to meet or exceed individual and branch goals and may assist with account service, transactions, problem resolution, and other banking activities. All positions receive training on required products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools necessary for the role.

Responsibilities:

• Inform and advise customers on the full range of the bank's services, including in-branch offerings, digital functionalities, and collaborative business networks.
• Support personal goal achievement through sufficient in-person and outbound calls to share valuable solutions and recommendations based on a needs-focused approach.
• Manage all duties related to opening and closing accounts, helping customers select appropriate accounts, conducting account inquiries, and ensuring compliance with BSA and CIP regulations.
• Assist in consumer loan applications: collect loan requests, remain up-to-date on loan procedures and regulations, and support monitoring consumer loan portfolios across branches.
• Identify client needs and refer them to a partner-focused team serving small businesses, corporate partners, institutional clients, and mortgage and financial advisors.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by actively engaging clients and ensuring delivery of an exceptional client experience.
• Ensure all departmental documents and tasks comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including mandatory compliance training.
• Handle customer requests and transactions professionally, engaging in authentic conversations to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to motivate and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Adopt a collaborative, team-focused approach to address customer needs in a fast-paced banking environment.
• Manage and guide the branch team according to established protocols in the absence of the AFCM.

Education And/Or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED
• One year of customer-facing experience with strong goal orientation
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Effectively leverage social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and gain market insights

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel is required for meetings, training sessions, and assisting with bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town requirements.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other financial institutions within the market.
