Job Description:

The Customer Relationship Manager for Asset Based Lending role at First Horizon involves client management, revenue-generating ABL origination, and cultivating the existing ABL client base. The successful candidate should be a proactive individual who can work effectively with other team members, credit partners, and product partners within the organization. They should have established connections with top industry management teams, have access to C-suite executives, possess credit knowledge, and demonstrate the ability to lead deal teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business line growth. Previous experience in ABL banking is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee relationship teams that ensure continuous engagement, assessment, and bond creation with clients, old and new.
• Maintain a consistent effort in expanding and strengthening connections with potential clients to bring in new revenue streams.
• Sustain and grow existing client relationships by promoting various bank products through cross-selling strategies.
• Become the go-to expert in the industry for discussing trends, progressions, hazards, and chances for advancement.
• Support underwriters in analyzing the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers, making informed loan determinations, and recommending competitive and risk-managed loan terms and rates.
• Guide and supervise the assessment stage for potential opportunities and the teams handling deal execution.
• Retain a detailed awareness of the lending policies and regulatory mandates applicable to the bank.
• Support and coach junior resources in their professional growth.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven track record in developing and organizing intricate ABL senior credit arrangements and executing lead-managed opportunities.
• Skilled in assessing credit risk and negotiating terms for loan agreements effectively.
• Demonstrates meticulousness in tasks, capable of multitasking effectively, and skilled at resolving complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills both in written form and verbally.
• Excels at cooperating with colleagues and contributing to team success.
• Resourceful with a track record of successfully diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Remarkable proficiency in quantitative tasks along with the skill to guide and educate through practical illustration.
