Job Summary:

The Assistant Banking Center Manager plays a key role in supporting branch operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service to contribute to profitability and community engagement. Responsibilities include overseeing staff, organizing training sessions, creating work schedules, providing mentorship, filling in for the Banking Center Manager when necessary, promoting various banking products, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety procedures. Candidates should have prior banking experience (preferably 3–5 years), may require NMLS certification, and can enjoy benefits and potential bonuses.

What you’ll do:

As the Assistant Banking Center Manager, you will support the Banking Center Manager to achieve outstanding financial results and deliver excellent customer service by creating a proactive sales culture and service-driven environment. You will focus on enhancing employee performance, promoting growth and profitability, and collaborating with internal teams to drive success.

• Strengthen the bank's visibility within the community by attending networking events and proactively reaching out through outbound calls to enhance branch sales performance.
• Supervise branch operations, including training, employee scheduling, and managing the facility.
• Conduct regular meetings to keep team members informed, motivated, and aligned with branch goals.
• Offer coaching and address employee performance issues as necessary.
• Step into the role of Banking Center Manager in their absence to ensure continued operations.
• Cross-sell banking products such as deposits, loans, and retirement plans that meet customer needs.
• Perform Personal Banker duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and security guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required; a college degree or relevant banking experience preferred.
• Previous managerial experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of prior banking experience is preferred for this role.
• May require NMLS certification.
