JOb Overview:

The Banking Associate is a banking professional who plays a key role in delivering TD's Brand promise at a Store location. The role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions while providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools that help customers achieve their financial goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing experience preferred (volunteering, education, or military experience accepted).
• Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.
• Teller experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Must complete Teller training and Part 1 of platform training upon hire.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, and consistent).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Notary License preferred.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

• Connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities.
• Establishes and nurtures customer relationships through active listening and product knowledge.
• Identifies opportunities to promote and educate on products and services or refer to the appropriate partner.
• Represents the first point of contact for inquiries, lobby leadership, and customer walk-in traffic orchestration.
• Manages appointments, schedules/reschedules meetings, and helps coordinate banker availability.
• Engages customers on account openings/closings, digital banking tools, card issues, and general servicing needs.

Sales, Service & Banking Operations:

• Accurately completes everyday transactions on both the teller line and platform.
• Opens and services personal deposit accounts and addresses debit card/credit card issues.
• Participates in customer outreach activities such as outbound calls, SMS relay, campaign leads, and self-generated leads.
• Consistently provides legendary service while promoting, educating, and referring TD products.
• Drives referrals to Store colleagues and partners for broader or complex financial needs.

Risk Management, Compliance & Controls:

• Ensures compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Applies customer authentication principles, due diligence, and compliance regulations for transactions and account openings.
• Processes transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
• Maintains cash drawers, secures cash, adheres to cash limits, and follows dual control procedures.
• Ensures proper documentation aligned with regulations, critical dates, and internal controls.
• Completes required job-specific compliance and regulatory training.

Operational Excellence:

• Supports TD’s Customer Service Strategy and aligns decisions with customer and stakeholder well-being.
• Participates in store operations to ensure compliance with TD’s risk framework.
• Follows all audit, risk, and regulatory procedures, providing accurate responses to requests.
• Ensures tasks are performed within established policies and demonstrates sound decision-making.
• Models quality service in every customer interaction.
