Position Overview:

At Regions, the Retail Banking Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service through both in-person and telephone interactions while supporting customers in improving their financial health. This role focuses on building meaningful customer relationships during transaction processing, identifying opportunities to meet customer needs, and resolving a broad range of service inquiries.

The successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability, motivation, and a commitment to educating customers on flexible banking solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver personalized service are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivers a high-quality customer service experience by accurately processing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and routine payments
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products and services and completes basic service requests including card issuance, PIN resets, and account updates
• Builds and maintains strong customer relationships by understanding client banking interactions
• Educates customers on digital banking tools such as mobile applications, online services, and ATM functionality
• Supports branch team members by assisting with routine operational tasks
• Conducts outbound calls to customers and prospects using provided lead lists
• Refers customers to internal specialists when complex financial needs are identified
• Ensures compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulations
• Contributes to achieving branch goals by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions

This position is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and includes incentive earning potential.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Availability to work Saturdays as needed
• Ability to accurately handle cash transactions
• Strong verbal, telephone, and digital communication skills
• Comfort with frequent computer use, including typing and extended screen time
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in banking, cash handling, or customer service

• Ability to assist customers with digital banking solutions
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Accuracy in handling large sums of cash
