Job Description:

Perform a variety of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and negotiable instruments while delivering excellent customer service and promoting bank products.

Key Responsibilities:

Teller Operations:

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
• Cash checks and verify negotiable instruments.
• Sell official checks, money orders, and traveler’s checks.
• Process credit card cash advances.
• Balance cash daily and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy with minimal errors.
• Follow all teller procedures and compliance standards.
• Promote and cross-sell bank products.

Customer Service:

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Provide professional and courteous service at all times.

Team Collaboration:

• Assist team members and support branch operations.
• Participate in training, meetings, and development activities.
• Keep management informed of issues and updates.
• Complete reports accurately and on time.

Additional Duties:

• Perform night drop and clerical tasks as assigned.
• Maintain clean, secure, and organized work areas.

Performance Expectations:

• Accurate and efficient transaction processing.
• Balanced cash drawer with minimal discrepancies.
• Strong customer relationships and service quality.
• Timely and accurate reporting.
• Contribution to sales and relationship growth.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of cash handling or related experience; teller experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking operations.

Required Skills and Training:

• Completion of required training programs (Mentor Program, GS3, Precision, etc.).
• Knowledge of teller systems, ATM balancing, and wire processing.
• Understanding of compliance, risk management, and dual control.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good math and typing skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Ability to operate office and banking equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent verbal communication and active listening.
• Finger dexterity and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to review documents and operate equipment.
• Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:15 AM – 6:15 PM
• Saturday: 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM
