Job Description:

At Regions, the Banking Operations Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, and contributing to improving the financial wellness of our customers. The purpose of this role is to create meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identify ways for Regions to meet customer needs, and assist in resolving end to end customer service inquiries. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in beginning a career with opportunities for growth, development, and upward mobility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offers a reliable and optimal customer service experience at the cashier station by efficiently handling customers' financial transactions like deposits, withdrawals, and bill settlements
• Supporting customers with questions about products and services and fulfilling basic servicing requests like issuing new or replacement cards, updating information, resetting PINs, reordering checks, and resolving straightforward problems
• Nurtures relationships with customers, staying informed about their relationship with the bank
• Advises clients on standard consumer items and digital mechanisms like mobile applications, online tools, and ATM functionalities, all aimed at streamlining the banking process
• Helps address customer problems by supporting fellow team members with simple tasks
• Reaching out to customers and prospects via outbound calls from provided lists to offer educational information on emerging technology and help them address their financial goals
• The acknowledgment of intricate financial goals leads to customers being referred to an internal team for support
• Follows established bank practices and regulations, executing responsibilities directed by the Branch Manager; contributes to the branch team's commitment to safe banking procedures by overseeing, identifying, and communicating operational risks
• Reaches branch objectives and accomplishments by recognizing customer requirements and offering appropriate advice and insights on Regions' solutions

The job requires tracking hours worked exceeding 40 per week and is entitled to overtime pay according to the Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.

This role includes the option to receive incentives.

Requirements:

• Achieving a high school diploma or GED status is necessary for personal and professional growth
• Suitability to include Saturdays in the work routine when necessary
• Ability to control cash flow and execute financial transactions involving cash
• Proficiency in interpersonal communication, telephone correspondence, and digital interactions
• Skillful in the regular application of a computer, such as typing and continuous monitoring
• Competence in ambulating and staying upright for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds

Preferences:

• One year of practical experience working in the banking industry, handling cash, and providing customer service

Skills and Competencies:

• Having the capability to comply with established policies, procedures, and directives
• Competency in aiding customers with utilizing online banking features
• Successfully handling various priorities concurrently showcases strong multitasking abilities
• Ability to supervise substantial cash quantities
• Concentrating on customer satisfaction and effectively creating meaningful customer bonds are important skills
