Job Summary:Associate Personal Banker

An Associate Personal Banker provides tailored financial guidance to clients by supporting their daily banking activities, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending appropriate financial products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish a consistent cadence for SBA business growth, including:
• Planning and managing phone communications and follow-ups
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting for new clients
• Making outbound calls to connect with prospects and organizations
• Participating in networking events
• Expanding and maintaining a well-established COI (Center of Influence) network of community and business leaders to drive referrals
• Overseeing sales activities, analyzing credit, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client interviews, and assessing individual qualities
• Building and nurturing new business relationships to support growth and opportunities

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of business lending, including:
• Creating tailored loan terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset life cycles, and growth strategies
• Evaluating financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk for both individuals and businesses
• Assessing short- and long-term credit requirements based on business sales cycles and projected growth
• Educating clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and applicable regulations
• Coordinating with attorneys, loan closing specialists, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client needs while managing risk exposure
• Following Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical guidelines
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior SBA lending staff
• Ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, including BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements
• Processing loan applications and gathering necessary applicant information while maintaining fair lending standards and ethical sales practices
• Addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in finance or a related field is preferred
• At least five years of direct experience in SBA lending is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years in business development and/or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
