The Mortgage Lending Advisor - Retail position provides Simply the Best customer service to each customer at all times. Responsibilities include using internal and external referral sources to develop mortgage loan business; builds and maintains business relationships within the community.

Position Overview

As a Mortgage Lending Advisor, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and recommending suitable mortgage and banking solutions. This role integrates customer service, sales expertise, and financial guidance to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Explores and amplifies internal and external referral sources to foster the growth of the mortgage business.
• Utilizes consultative sales techniques to recommend mortgage loan alternatives and other financial services to clients.
• Provides outstanding customer care throughout the entire loan process, closely coordinating with loan origination partners to validate and ensure all required information is secured for underwriting.
• Maintains and strengthens ongoing client relationships.
• Assists clients in accurately completing and submitting loan applications.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably within a banking environment.
• Active NMLS license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products including conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio programs.
• Understanding of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify cross-selling opportunities for financial products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with PC and internet-based applications.
