Role Overview:

The Transaction Specialist is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while accurately handling a variety of financial transactions. This role is essential in building strong customer relationships and supporting the smooth operation of daily branch activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a variety of financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan repayments, with high accuracy
• Operate a teller station to assist customers and staff in the branch or at the drive-through
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services and refer clients to the appropriate bank personnel
• Develop the ability to detect potential fraudulent activity and report any concerns to management
• Follow all departmental, banking, and regulatory policies and procedures
• Uphold and promote the Wintrust organizational culture
• Support the opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth branch operations
• Participate in community events as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months experience in cash handling or customer service
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel between branches as needed
• Availability to work all shifts, including Saturdays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
