Job Overview:

The Banking Associate is a banking professional who plays a key role in delivering TD's Brand promise at a Store location. The role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions while providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools that help customers achieve their financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent GED credential is a prerequisite for this opportunity.
  • Desired qualification: 1 year of customer service experience (volunteer work, educational background, or military service welcomed).
  • A strong emphasis is placed on candidates with proven customer service acumen.
  • Teller experience preferred.
  • Ability to be present for work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the schedule.
  • The completion of Teller training and Part 1 of platform training is a fundamental requirement for all new employees.
  • Skilled at efficiently managing tasks and multitasking in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills (succinct, straightforward, and steady).
  • Has a strong ability to solve problems effectively and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Being self-directed in work responsibilities and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Employing logical thinking and wise judgment contributes to effective decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary License preferred.

  • Participates in customer outreach initiatives, which involve making outbound calls, sending SMS messages, following up on campaign leads, and generating leads independently.
  • Always delivers exceptional service while advocating for, informing about, and recommending TD products.
  • Matches customers with Store associates and partners for intricate financial solutions.

Ensuring risk management effectiveness involves addressing risks, maintaining compliance standards, and implementing controls:

  • Ensures alignment with all operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Applies customer authentication guidelines, conducts detailed investigations, and complies with compliance regulations for transactions and account setups.
  • Safeguards customer information by upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to prescribed bank security policies.
  • Regulates cash transactions, secures cash assets, follows cash limitations, and practices dual control protocols.
  • Verifies the correct documentation aligned with regulations, significant dates, and internal policies.
  • Concludes the essential training on compliance and regulatory matters pertaining to the job.
