Job Description:

The Teller Associate handles routine banking transactions in the branch lobby and drive-through areas while providing dependable and professional customer service. This role assists with account-related needs, processes cash and financial transactions accurately, builds strong customer relationships, and identifies opportunities to connect customers with appropriate banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process daily banking transactions through lobby and drive-through teller stations.
• Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships by understanding customer needs.
• Handle deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and mailed deposits.
• Process cashier's checks and savings bond redemption transactions.
• Assist customers with questions and account-related requests in person and over the telephone.
• Complete required financial transactions and prepare currency transaction reports when applicable.
• Identify cross-selling and referral opportunities and connect customers with appropriate banking personnel.
• Use 360View and other designated systems to document activities, referrals, customer interactions, and related events.
• Assist customers with consumer credit card application requests.
• Handle specialized requests, including account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, duplicate statements, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Balance cash drawers accurately, verify currency and coin amounts, and report or resolve discrepancies.
• Follow banking regulations, security standards, and established dual-control procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer financial and personal information.
• Participate in training programs to improve knowledge of banking procedures, products, and services.
• Work cooperatively with branch team members to maintain strong service standards and support branch objectives.
• Develop knowledge of banking products and demonstrate proficiency with customer service and banking systems.
• Complete assigned duties accurately while minimizing transaction and processing errors.
• Participate in volunteer activities and branch projects as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
