Job Overview:

The Commercial Finance Director is responsible for promoting a wide range of equipment finance lending and leasing solutions to medium and large commercial clients within a defined geographic region. This role is results-oriented and requires the ability to operate independently while identifying new business opportunities and maintaining a consistent client outreach strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal teams to build new business relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships
• Maintain and grow established customer portfolios
• Develop and manage relationships with organizations generating more than $15M in annual revenue
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Treasury teams to promote banking products and services
• Prepare proposals, commitment documents, credit applications, and supporting materials
• Stay informed on equipment finance offerings, lending policies, structuring guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure portfolio management practices align with credit policies and risk compliance standards
• Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities within existing client relationships
• Design and implement calling strategies to generate new business leads
• Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and ongoing client relationships
• Support team members in prospecting, credit evaluation, financial analysis, and underwriting activities
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulatory frameworks
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the Managing Director of Direct Originations.

Position Qualifications Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, or related field required; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment finance sales
• Experience with SuperTrump, TValue, InfoAnalysis, and CRM systems

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial evaluation
• Ability to independently manage complex lending structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Deep knowledge of equipment finance lending and leasing products
• Ability to structure loans and make sound credit decisions
• Proven success in sales and business development
• Ability to perform effectively in a target-driven environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Additional Information:

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, certifications, and other relevant factors. The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or discretionary profit-sharing programs.
