Job Description:

Mortgage Loan Officers are responsible for guiding clients through the home financing process by explaining available mortgage products, assessing financial eligibility, and helping borrowers make informed decisions aligned with their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, and developers to generate mortgage business
• Consult with clients to evaluate financial needs and recommend suitable mortgage solutions
• Analyze financial documentation including income, credit history, and assets to determine loan eligibility
• Present mortgage options, explain terms, and guide clients through the application process
• Promote additional banking products and cross-sell financial services when appropriate
• Manage loan applications from origination through closing while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the loan lifecycle

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of residential mortgage lending experience or completion of a related training program
• Proven experience in building and maintaining referral partnerships

Compliance and Additional Duties:

• Must comply with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Licensing Requirement:

• May require registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
