Job Description:

The role of a Business Relationship Manager involves fostering connections and managing relationships with business clients to enhance overall collaboration and mutual benefit within the professional setting

The C & I Commercial Relationship Manager's role involves acting as a reliable consultant to clients, offering a comprehensive range of financial services to help them achieve their financial goals. They also focus on building a network of recommended sources and influential contacts through consistent outreach to create new business prospects. Additionally, the manager oversees a set of client relationships, delivering outstanding client service, and ensuring risk management, credit quality, and servicing align with Northwest guidelines alongside a team of portfolio managers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enhance and cultivate current business banking partnerships to drive growth and collaboration
  • Actively attracting and effectively establishing fresh connections with individuals in the Northwest region
  • Interact consistently with product partners to explore potential for cross-selling and referrals, strengthening connections with clients through expansion opportunities
  • Meet and surpass financial targets designated on an individual and regional basis
  • Engage in community and professional networking functions actively
  • Cultivate valuable networks of influential connections
  • Develop and uphold a consistent roster of potential leads while organizing a structured timetable for contacting and meeting with prospects, current customers, and Centers of Influence (COIs)
  • Encourage current customers to continue recommending various products and services while also urging clients and their staff to uphold their personal financial transactions with Northwest
  • Oversee a collection of business loans for a diverse range of clients, including those with good and bad credit histories
  • Present loan proposals and offer suggestions to credit, team leaders, and senior managers within the line of business when necessary
  • Collaborate with credit and portfolio management to guarantee that annual assessments and line of credit extensions are done promptly
  • Make sure that noncredit customers have access to suitable treasury management and other associated business services, with risk assessments that are fitting
  • Obtain payments from overdue accounts as per regulations
  • Continuously monitor financial statements and associated credit documents to keep updated on client performance and evaluate risk alongside Portfolio Management
  • Finalize loan agreements alongside Portfolio Management to ensure smooth closings
  • Make sure that all credit records contain up-to-date financial statements, reports from agencies, etc. Work together with Portfolio Management to adhere to Northwest policies, procedures, and comply with Federal and State regulations
  • Engage in ongoing education focusing on sales techniques, product knowledge, and credit management
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by Northwest as well as federal and state laws to maintain compliance
  • Become skilled in using Microsoft Office programs, computer applications, and department-specific software to optimize technological resources and enhance productivity. Master the functions of Microsoft Office applications, computer programs, and specialized software utilized within the department to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Gain proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software relevant to the department to increase operational efficiency and leverage technology tools effectively
  • Collaborating with a group of individuals to achieve a common goal is essential in a professional setting
  • Utilize the equipment available on the premises

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing is required
  • Experience managing client relationships for a period spanning 5 to 6 years
  • Demonstrating a track record of robust sales achievements over a period of 5-6 years
  • Banking experience
  • Thorough familiarity and comprehension of commercial and industrial lending, loan administration, and various credit and non-credit offerings.
  • Proficiency in negotiating loan terms and pricing is crucial for securing favorable deals.
  • Risk management involves having the necessary knowledge and comprehension to identify potential threats and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Exceptional abilities in verbal, written, and social communication.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and skillfully organizing tasks by importance.
