Job Overview:

The Regional Finance Director is responsible for driving the promotion of equipment finance lending and leasing solutions to medium and large commercial clients within a defined geographic territory. This is a performance-driven leadership role that requires independent decision-making, strong prospecting abilities, and a consistent client engagement strategy.

The role applies structured market evaluation criteria such as credit assessment, pricing strategy, and deal structuring to support business growth. It requires strong expertise in sales execution, credit analysis, lead generation, and closing complex financial transactions. The position also involves close collaboration with Middle Market Relationship Managers and Treasury Management Officers to expand cross-selling opportunities for commercial banking products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop new business relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships
• Protect, manage, and grow established customer portfolios
• Develop relationships with companies generating $15M+ in annual revenue
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Treasury Officers to increase cross-selling of banking solutions
• Prepare proposals, commitment letters, credit applications, and supporting documentation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment finance products, lending policies, structuring standards, and compliance requirements
• Ensure portfolio management and risk compliance align with credit policies and regulatory frameworks
• Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities within existing customer accounts
• Develop and execute outreach and calling strategies to generate new business opportunities
• Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and ongoing client relationships
• Guide and mentor team members in prospecting, credit analysis, financial evaluation, and underwriting processes
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Direct Originations.

Position Qualifications Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, or related field required; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment finance sales
• Experience with SuperTrump, TValue, InfoAnalysis, and CRM systems

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong expertise in credit analysis and financial evaluation
• Ability to independently manage complex lending structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Deep knowledge of equipment finance lending and leasing products
• Ability to structure loans and make sound credit decisions
• Proven track record in sales and business development
• Ability to perform effectively in a target-driven environment
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Additional Information:

Compensation will be based on education, experience, certifications, and other relevant factors. The role may also include eligibility for incentive-based earnings or discretionary profit-sharing programs.
