Job Description:

Provide high-quality, precise, and prompt customer care through the daily processing of financial transactions in a retail banking environment. Serving as the primary customer interface for many individuals, the Transaction Specialist establishes strong rapport by delivering superior service, suggesting appropriate bank offerings, and referring clients to other Bank segments when necessary. This role contributes to revenue growth by cultivating and upholding enduring, fruitful client relations, upholding compliance with operational and procedural benchmarks, and maintaining effective cash management.

Qualifications:

• Having a high school diploma or GED is obligatory for applicants interested in this role.
• Preference is given to applicants who have experience in cash handling or as a teller for a period of six months, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Proficient in operating Microsoft Office applications.
• Competence in working with office and financial equipment, like a 10-key calculator and coin-counting machine.
• The DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment must be successfully finished.
• Participants are expected to complete the assessment within 12–15 minutes and submit it for review before the application process.

Crucial Responsibilities and Tasks:

Operational Efficiency:

• Uphold cash control measures while monitoring and reconciling the contents of a cash drawer.
• Abide by the set rules and procedures concerning audits, security, and operations.
• Complete customer transactions such as making deposits, withdrawals, transferring funds, and processing loan payments.
• Deal with a range of transactions including bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Aid in the daily balancing and processing of ATMs, completing all necessary entries as per regulations.
• Confirming the legitimacy of funds deposited in night and lobby drop-off locations.
• Support in managing dual control vault responsibilities.
• Stay informed of operational developments and procedural modifications to maintain compliance.

Client Experience:

• Provide clients with a consistent and positive experience in all their interactions with the company.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns.
• Support customers in addressing their service needs effectively to enhance their overall experience.
• Elevate product and service knowledge through participation in sales meetings, training sessions, and web-based educational content.

Sales and Service:

• Recognize potential for additional sales while engaging with clients.
• Connect clients and potential leads with the appropriate internal colleagues for their specific needs.
• Improve client engagement and satisfaction levels by highlighting the benefits of bank products and services.

Balancing compliance with regulations alongside the proactive handling of risks: Frameworks for compliance and risk management:

• Observe and adhere to all of the bank's regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Abide by the risk management norms and uphold the ethical principles detailed in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Carry out any additional tasks as delegated.
