Job Summary:

The Asset Manager delivers personalized financial guidance by assisting clients with daily banking needs, managing accounts, and recommending suitable products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Establish a consistent SBA business development routine, including:
• Planning calls and tracking follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients
• Engaging in outbound calls to external contacts
• Participating in networking events
• Maintaining and expanding a robust Center of Influence (COI) network of community and business leaders to enhance referral generation
• Oversee sales operations, evaluate credit, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan applications, meet with clients, and assess personal and professional attributes
• Forge and cultivate new business relationships to unlock opportunities and foster collaboration

Credit Expertise:

• Possess in-depth knowledge of business lending solutions, including:
• Customizing terms and products to align with business needs, asset life cycles, and growth strategies
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to evaluate creditworthiness and risk
• Determining short- and long-term credit requirements by reviewing business cycles and growth projections
• Advising prospective clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and applicable regulations
• Coordinating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closure and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client expectations while mitigating risk
• Following Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their development
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Reviewing loan applications and collecting necessary client information while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing client concerns efficiently and escalating unresolved matters appropriately

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; finance-related college degree preferred
• Preferred candidates will have over five years of direct SBA lending experience
• At least 10 years of experience in business development or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
