Qualifications for Bank Operations Associate:

• Successful completion of high school or GED equivalent is a prerequisite for applicants.
• A background of six months in cash handling or teller duties, or a comparable combination of education and experience, is strongly favored.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Competence in working with office and financial equipment, like a 10-key calculator and coin-counting machine.
• Completion of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is a necessary requirement.
• Participants are expected to complete the assessment within 12–15 minutes and submit it for review before the application process.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities for Bank Operations Associate:

Operational Efficiency:

• Ensure accurate handling of cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
• Abide by the set rules and procedures concerning audits, security, and operations.
• Handle customer transactions by conducting tasks such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payment processing.
• Deal with a range of transactions including bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Assist in the daily maintenance and processing of ATMs, including the completion of all mandatory entries.
• Check the authenticity of deposits placed in night and lobby depositories.
• Guide in handling dual control vault obligations effectively.
• Stay abreast of operational updates and procedural shifts to ensure continual adherence.

Client Experience:

• Provide clients with a consistent and positive experience in all their interactions with the company.
• Provide prompt and efficient responses to address client doubts and issues.
• Help customers with particular service requests to enhance their overall satisfaction and experience.
• Expand product and service expertise by participating in sales meetings, training sessions, and web-based educational programs.

Sales and Service:

• Identify chances to offer complementary products or services during client conversations.
• Connect clients and potential leads with the appropriate internal colleagues for their specific needs.
• Foster better client relationships by recommending and encouraging the utilization of bank products and services.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Follow all the rules, policies, procedures, and internal controls established by the bank.
• Abide by the risk management norms and uphold the ethical principles detailed in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Execute any supplementary job duties as instructed.
