Job Description:

As a Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Banking Specialists will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals.You may also assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. Maintaining a professional and positive image as a Simmons Ambassador while meeting and exceeding client expectations is essential. All Banking Specialist positions will receive standardized training on all requisite products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools necessary to perform the role.

Principal Duties and Obligations:

• Educate and advise customers on the complete suite of bank services, including in-branch services, digital tools, and resources from business partners
• Meet individual objectives by completing the required amount of face-to-face and outbound tasks to provide solutions and recommendations based on customer needs
• Handle all account-related responsibilities, including account openings and closures, assisting customers with account selection, conducting inquiries, and ensuring BSA and CIP compliance
• Support consumer loan submissions: solicit loan requests, maintain awareness of loan policies, and assist in managing consumer loan accounts at branch(es)
• Identify customer requirements and connect them to a partner-centric team working with small businesses, corporate partners, institutional clients, and mortgage/financial advisors
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by actively engaging with clients and providing an exceptional client experience
• Ensure departmental tasks and documentation are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training
• Process customer requests and transactions accurately and professionally, engaging in conversations to identify needs and suggest solutions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to motivate and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues
• Embrace a team-focused approach to meet customer needs in a dynamic banking environment
• Lead and guide branch staff following established procedures in the absence of the AFCM

Education And/Or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of customer-facing experience focused on achieving objectives
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Utilize social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and market insight

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel for meetings, training sessions, and supporting bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town obligations
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other banking institutions in the market
