Key tasks for a Credit Risk Advisor include conducting credit assessments, negotiating with creditors on behalf of clients, and educating clients on credit management best practices

Your main duty as a Credit Risk Advisor will involve securing loans for clients with residential mortgage needs and serving as the primary lending specialist at the financial center. Interaction with clients in-person and over the phone will be central to your role in providing various lending options such as Initial Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs), Vehicle Loans, Credit Cards, and Core Banking Products. Your role is crucial in building and strengthening client relationships, balancing sales performance, operational risks, and ensuring a positive client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients by delivering personalized service that includes expert advice and recommendations on a complete spectrum of borrowing and banking services, designed to suit the specific financial goals of the client at different stages of their financial journey.
  • Structure loan arrangements for residential mortgage clients, which cover Primary Mortgages as well as Home Equity Lines of Credit. Furthermore, introduce various banking offerings such as Auto Financing, Revolving Credit options, and Essential Banking products.
  • Assess the financial requirements of customers and leverage your understanding of banking and lending products to recommend solutions that align with their goals.
  • Analyze and dissect various home lending options, assisting clients in maneuvering through the mortgage application process by collecting required paperwork and providing continuous updates throughout the process.
  • Reach out to clients through proactive engagement and pipeline management responsibilities, executing consistent follow-up routines to cater to client needs and promote enduring associations.
  • Manage client inquiries, provide timely information, and recommend suitable internal contacts that align with the client's specific financial requisites.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with financial center leaders, performance managers, and market leaders to provide personalized guidance and coaching to associates, ensuring superior client interactions.
  • Manage operational risk effectively by guaranteeing that all loan-related activities and processes comply with regulatory stipulations and internal guidelines.
  • Leverage customer relationship management resources to monitor sales metrics, client engagements, and follow-up operations.
  • Successful completion and continuous upkeep of background checks and registration as per the SAFE Act are compulsory for individuals holding this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • The role necessitates a minimum of two years of experience in mortgage origination. However, candidates who have fulfilled the responsibilities of a Home Service Specialist II, Lending Client Associate, Lending Client Support Manager, Lending Specialist, Senior Banker, Business Solutions Advisor, or Financial Solutions Advisor at Bank of America for one year may also be qualified for the position in place of direct mortgage origination experience
  • Comprehending the prerequisites for securing credit and housing loans is vital
  • Possesses a desire to engage with clients proactively and actively listens to their needs and objectives to provide effective support.
  • Conveys messages professionally and confidently while engaging with clients in various communication settings, demonstrating effectiveness in both in-person and telephone conversations.
  • An individual with strong critical thinking skills can analyze financial and credit data to counsel clients on product/pricing policies and guidelines, as well as collect any additional necessary information.
  • Exhibits strong customer service acumen, managing the entire client experience seamlessly and addressing problems with efficacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Competence in facing ambiguity and adeptly adjusting to changing circumstances.
  • Hardworking, enthusiastic, ambitious, and outcome-oriented; shows a strong willingness to achieve objectives.

  • The guidelines outlined by FHA and HUD are designed to regulate and oversee activities related to housing and urban development
  • Supplemental Borrowing Choices (Credit Card, Car Loans)
  • Experienced in effectively using MS applications and working with laptop technology.
